I get you guys! I have been on Cerezette for just under a year now as Yasmin (and pretty much every other pill) was spurring on horrific migraines. This pill weirdly enough has worked for me most of the time - my periods stopped and everything seemed ay-okay. At the 8-month mark I noticed a bit of brown discharge (lovely) but that only lasted a few days. Since then I've been on holiday so the time difference has messed with my timings for taking the pill and sometimes I would accidentally miss a pill :/ Now I've started a new pack, I've tried taking the pill at the same time everyday for 4 days and this discharge is back with a vengeance! I'm hoping this is something that will die down but was wondering if there was any other advice out there?

Has anyone that has had this awful brown discharge for weeks and stopped the pill give me some advice? Thinking of stopping cerazette as I cant hack bleeding every week! How quickly after stopping cerazette did your periods go back to normal/the brown discharge stop?

I started on Cerezette in April. I have had two full blown periods in May with a 3 day gap inbetween the two, then after a two day gap of nothing I started with an awful brown discharge that has been going on for about a week and a half. I stopped taking the pill on Wednesday. So far I still have bleeding/brown discharge. I'm very weepy today and exhausted. I will keep you posted.

Don't give up just yet, I was just how you explained for the first 10/11 days of this pill, then it all started to slow down, the headaches are occasional but once a week maybe, think it's because I don't drink enough throughout the day though. Spotting stopped and spots have calmed down. I start the first of my second pack today so have been on the mini pill for 4 weeks. Honestly been the best 2and a half weeks of my sex life! With boyfriend of 10 months, think it's because my mind is at ease now, never that worry, the what ifs. Sorry if tmi, but that's the reason I went in the pill.

Ive been on the mini pill for 3 months and get a brown/black thick discharge or blood. Can i assume this is my period or is it simply discharge? its on/off for two-ish weeks

Hi. I'm 16 years old and my ginacoligist gave a prescription for cerazette because I have a long and heavy period. But I made a research on this pill and nor I'm very comcenrned that I'll have a non stop period for 2 months or so. But this only happens to women much older and just had a baby. But I didn't find any experience from young girls like me. It since you started taking this pill at a young age, I would like to know if you could tell me your experience with it. Please.

So pleased i found this thread. I started on cerelle a couple of months ago, bled constantly it was no good. So switched me back onto cerezette as i had that years ago with no problems. Bleeding stopped in a few days. Only problem i have now is extra discharge which is usually white with no other symptoms but i have had cramping and now like a browny discharge too. I have been a little worried about it but im pretty sure its the cerezette reading this thread has eased my mind a little. Can anyone else relate?

I was put on cerazette about 2 months ago and everything was okay but my first period on it was the same but I had brown discharge for a few days after which was never the case with me, yesterday I experienced a lot of this brown discharge and also today and then my period came it's also a week early which is annoying. I'm glad I found this forum because I don't want to keep taking cerazette if I'm going to constantly get this discharge

I just received my first period after giving birth to my son. It has been 6 months. My doc prescribed a birth control pill with no estrogen since I am breastfeeding and the side effect of this pill is that I have brown discharge. My doctor said my period will be brown until I switch to a pill that has estrogen. Hope this helps!

I started taking cerazette 1month 3 weeks ago also, all was going well until my first period which was really dark/brown/red which after then I carried on spotting/discharge which was brown I have never experienced this before. I am glad I found this chat as I was really worried. I have been to doctors and they took a smear as I a due soon anyway. I'm sure after reading everyone else that it must be due to this pill but the doctor seemed to think it wouldn't be the pill!!
