Whoa are you kidding me I literally thought the same things because the left side of my face about if you were to start count a quarter starting from the left to right and down to 3 then 4 quarters my face is mostly asymmetrical at 3/4 and part of my face is smaller their and it makes my cheek bone look way big because I have high cheeks thanks a lot I'm going to start chewing a lot of gum and I do fell like part of it either has to do with your teeth not being lined up or neglecting a side of your body too much. I have started doing face yoga and I'm going to start doing things switch until they become normal

I really know what you mean. My left side of my face is larger than the right. I'm insecure about myself. No one says my face is asymmetrical when I know they're lying just to not hurt my feelings. I'm 13 and it sucks to be so insecure and such a young age. I only turn to my left side in order to not feel insecure. One eyebrow is bigger than the other. My nose turns to the left. My cheek is smaller than the other. I'm the most insecure about my nose too. I'm getting a nose job and I wish I was normal so I couldn't be so insecure about my face. I know how you feel! I can't imagine what life is like to have a symmetrical face because I don't have one. I get really jealous because all my friends have cute little noses and symmetrical faces when I was born with this. Please tell me someone how to fix this it would mean the world to me.

I have the exact same problem!! I noticed my right cheek was a lot bigger than my left and I realised that i chew so much with only my right side I've started chewing on my left now. I also am trying taking gum only on my left side to see if it helps more.

There are many effective exercises to fix facial assymetry, even eyes that are uneven. Check face yoga method.

That was helpful thanks. I also have an asymmetric face and this became even more pronounced when I started losing weigh, it seems most of the weigh is coming off my face and upper body (which was already thin) instead of my chubby lower body... what a curse!, I can specially notice the increase of the asymmetry due to weight loss in my eyes where one of my eyelids looks a lot bigger while the other eye looks "sad". I also had a fuller check and I've been chewing on the fuller side for about a month or so but sometimes I forget to do it.
It's hard to stop obsessing about it when you're obsessive by nature, I already obsess about everything else so my facial asymmetry is just like a a further slap in the face, like life telling me "you can't control anything and you're going to hate yourself forever" . Unfortunately nothing can be done for this kind of ugliness. Like yourself I also quit college then I became agoraphobic and for many years I was unable to go into the street on my own (I'm still struggling with this), I haven't been able to work for that reason and I feel like an all round failure. Although I'm in a long term relationship I'm tormented by thoughts that my partner is going to realize he deserves better and will leave me, I'm jealous of everyone, I'm sad that I know I could make mother happy if I was prettier. I don't have money to fix myself since because of my face I couldn't study, and get a career even though I am supposed to be smart...Anyway I keep on deluding myself that I will save enough money for multiple facial surgeries and that then I'll be able to look at pictures of myself, like a normal person. I wish you good luck.

I agree, same thing happened to my jaw on the right side and my molar teeth started to wear out. Now I have started to chew on both sides and damage is stopped but the compressed jaw is still smaller. Now I am researching for implants , jaw reconstruction, and extra.....

Hi, I'm 62 years old female and I have asymmetrical face due to plastic surgery done 2 years ago. I can honestly tell you I understand the feelings you are going thru. I don't like leaving my home and when I do - I just do my errands as quickly as possible and stay home. I don't like the stares I get. I am human and it hurts.

Wait, the right side of my jaw is larger than my left. So does that mean I chew on my left side to even out my jaw? I always chew on my left. This is confusing me.

Omg exact same story here! Everything. Ignored the orthos request too. Now I look at my slanted nose and lips and wonder? My teeth are straight but they're all pulling to that one side. Did you find an answer? I stumbled across yours researching how to fix my face. Cosmetic surgery fillers implants? Or jaw surgery ugh!?! I would though. Tell me what you did if anything? I even sleep on the opposite side hoping things will slant back over

I also have the same problem..... I've been chewing food from my right side from 3-4 years and that side is smaller than the left... The jaw line is also smaller on the right... I started chewing from my left one month ago but it's getting worse, me left is increasing more and my right is getting flatter , now it's noticeable

Wow, this is amazing. I've had this problem for a while ( one side of my face is chubbier than the other) and I've lived with it for years now thinking this is just the way my face was. (It's not crazy noticeable but is apparent in pictures). It wasn't until recently that I noticed while looking at pictures of myself from years back that my face was not noticeably asymmetrical before I had my braces. I also had them in for 2 1/2 years. I looked up some facial exercises and realized that the chubbier side of my face is indeed weaker and a lot harder to excercise. So I'm going to start chewing on one side and strengthening those muscles. Hopefully it works for me as well!!!
