I agree I am going through the same symptoms and worst. I feel so unsafe like I am not in control, I am so worried about what going to happen to me. This is all happening since I took that shot and yes these Dr. need to stop by overlooking this matter cause it is serious.

Found this website after several searches for side effects of one cortisone shot in each knee. Normal blood pressure never above 120. 24 hours later, I experienced a pounding feeling all over and splitting headache combined with flushed face as if I had been working outside in the heat for several hours. Took my blood pressure - it was 162/82 and pulse 99 !!! - - - I felt like it had to be a reaction to the shots as nothing else had changed. Messages here give validation to my suspicions. Thanks so much for sharing!

My question is when does these symptoms stop cause I wish I can see every person on this site cause I am going through the same and still these Dr.s are are not believing it is the cortisone shot. I been out of work more than six weeks and still taking a lot of test cause the Drs feel it's something else, I am so sick and frustrated. I need help as to how to get this drug out of my bloodstream cause I know it was not administered properly and now this is the effects of the drug and not just me but everyone that found this site. I just trust God I can be myself again. But now I am still going through all the episodes of that cortisone shots and I am worried cause when that blood pressure goes up and the chest pains like heart burn or a knife sticking you and the lights in your head starts to go out omg I can not guarantee I will make it cause it lasts sometimes 15-30 minutes. How can I go on like this not knowing when an episode will occur and no Dr can tell me whats wrong since all the test are coming back negative. I will continue to fight for my life and answers to whats happening and prove it is the cortisone shot. Thanks to everyone now I know I am not crazy!

I got a shot in my shoulder today and about 6 hours later my face got got and flushed. My BP was 190 / 120. I have been on Lisinopril for High BP and I am usually 120 / 80. My doctor said if the shoulder doctor hit a vein it is possible for this. I am down to 140 /110 now and am seeing my doc tomorrow. Other side effects for me were 110 beats per minute heat rate and stomach nausea.

I had Cortisone in right shoulder 2 weeks ago. A couple of days later my blood pressure was 200/112. Called 911 & went to ER. Next evening it was 198/100 so back I went. The next day I was started on medication for blood pressure . I have always enjoyed great low bp 119/71. This reaction I was told later was due to that injection. Iam furious. I also have heat intolerance & nausea. 99% of medical community basically rolled their eyes & denied it was the injection. Even the pharmacist said it wasn't possible. This is a very big deal & has changed my life. Insult to injury when doctors talk down to me ...insisting it's not the injection. Never ...ever again

Had 3 Cortisone Injections in my lower spine last Wednesday (6 days ago). The day after I started to feel not quite right with hot flushes and flushed face. By Sunday morning my head felt as though it was going to explode and tremendous pressure on my eyes. Took blood pressure reading and it was 200/100. My blood pressure is always around 120/80. Went to A and E and Doctor assured me it was nothing to do with the injections I had received. It is now Tuesday and my blood pressure is still up at about 200/100. I have got pressure on my eyes, I feel faint and sick and I am waiting to hear back from the consultant...

Update

I am posting an update on my previous entry. My blood pressure remained high for about three weeks then started to fall gradually, although I still had occasional high readings. It is now approxy 8 weeks later and my blood pressure is back to normal 130/79 this morning. My GP was only interested in putting me on blood pressure tablets and wouldnt consider the possibility that the injections had caused the high blood pressure, but thankfully I listened to my consultant who said that my blood pressure would return to normal by itself, so I didn't go on medication. I feel OK now.

Hi, I got a cortisone shot in my knew last week and the next morning my blood pressure went really high, at a point that it was 224/102!!!!! I visited my doctor the next day and she prescribed high blood pressure pills (double dosage 160mg), she told me that the cortisone had nothing to do with it! However, after reading on forums about it, it seems completely the opposite. :(
