i am 47,I hav been having some irregular periods without pain for a few months, which I suspected were to do with my age. I have just been treated for a UTI. when I had sex last night, I found the orgasm was followed by period type pain. Should I be worried?

Did you have a vaginal exam or an ultrasound when you were prescribed antibiotics for UTI or only a blood test?
I'm asking because the pain during intercourse can be caused by many things, maybe even your menopause approaching but it could also be due to ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids, which are usually harmless but still very annoying.
If the problem persists, I would see a gyn, and reported the symptoms especially you belong to an age group at risk of these disorders.
