My friend’s kid has been diagnosed with crohn’s disease. I found it unusual since its usual onset is in the age between 20 and 30. However, it seems that this is also possible. I would like to know about the symptoms of this disease in children. Are there some specific features?

Hi. You are right. Crohn’s disease has onset between ages 20 and 30. However, it can appear with kids. The symptoms depend on localisation. If lower parts of digestive system are affected, then there is diarrhoea and lower abdominal pain. If it affects upper parts, then symptoms are different. There is nausea and vomiting. In the beginning, it is difficult to set diagnosis of crohn’s based only on symptoms. I hope this helps. Bye!
