Hi, my grandfather had stroke, he speaks very difficult, his left side is mostly paralyzed and I believe that he is in a depression. What could we do to help him?

The depression after stroke is an consequence of which medical proffesionals are not aware enough. Half of stroke survivers have some kind of depression, expresed in different severity. They are mostly affecte in first few years. In our surrounding only some cases of depression caused by stroke are treated, most of them stays undetected. It is important to deal with psycological cosequences of stroke, as it would provide faster recovering and continuing the normal life. At first profesional education of medical stuff needs to be done, and it would provide more awareness of psycological effect.
