Hi, I also use Diflucan for candidiasis or vaginal yeast infection as you call it, and it has been effective for me. Yeast is normaly inhibiting vagina and Diflucan helps stop too much yeast from growing in the vagina and enables curing of yeast infection. It is systematic approach to treatment of infection and is used in other candida infections as well. If you get a some of these symptoms: itching, a burning feeling when you urinate, redness, soreness or a thick white vaginal discharge , you may have vaginal yeast infection and Diflucan can help you to cure it.
