So ive been stuck. I feel down all the time & often lost in my thoughts. Both my parents past away and I'm only seventeen. Among with other unfortunate events. I have trouble focusing on anything but these negative thoughts. sometimes i have absurd thoughts that i probab shoukf tnin but then i always tell myself I'm over reacting. I am a self harmer. I often cry on a daily basis out of no where. Im curious as to signs of depression? suicidal thoughts occur everyday but i would never do it. i just wanna know if i need to get over myself or if i may have depression? Any help? Depression also runs in my family as well.

It is quite understandable that you feel down having lost both your parents at such a young age, and crying "out of no where" for someone in your situation is not abnormal.

 

Try doing regular exercise such as swimming or cycling, setting goals to gradually go further each time will give you something positive to focus on and as you get fitter you will feel a sense of achievement and help you come to terms with your loss.

A regular good diet is essential too, ie 5 fruit and vegetables a day, and no sweets or chocolate.
