It may, or may not, depending on daily dosage taken and the individual's response. It is known to suppress appetite, but if taken at the prescribed dose it is unlikely to cause severe weight loss. It definitely does! I took it when I was in elementary school, and by the time fifth grade came around it really had affected me. I was AT LEAST twenty something pounds underweight. I was the shortest person in my class and I was completely off the growth chart. I had to take shakes and have my parents and doctors organize a special diet for me. I went to a growth doctor and everything! Not to mention that it delayed my puberty by a year to a year and a half (according to the growth doctor). It was terrible. I was switched to Focalin and then to Ritalin. I suggest not taking Aderall. There are plenty of other great medicenes out there, and the side effects are just not worth it.
