does pregnancy cause heavy discharge

I am 21 yrs of age and recently found out I am pregnant but I have been having this itching and swelling on my vagina and now I am noticing that I have a liquid discharge which is light green in colour. Could it be I have an infection and if so what is it and how can it be treated?
