I hear that a new drug being tested for emphazema. Is it true and can you give any imformation on it.

My father is 71 and he was diagnosed with emphysema a year ago. He did stop smoking and started pulmonary rehabilitation in which attention is paid to proper nutrition, breathing exercise and exercise in general.
He is also using bronchodilators to dilate the air passages and he has been coughing less and had less sputum ever since he started these therapies and quit smoking of course.
He does have follow-ups with his doc but we haven’t been told anything about the new drug. Do you have any information on it, a name or function ow anything, so that we could ask more questions about it and maybe even see if there are any trials going on.
