I started to have external hemorrhoids several years ago (I'm now 36) whenever I finished my bowel movements. It goes away after several hours (at most) if I don't aggravate it (i.e. I usually have to lie down in bed). Is this serious?

does it hurt?
I have an external that became thrombosed. The sucker got pretty huge, maybe a little bigger than a almond. Whenever I squat down or use the toilet it will pop out. But when when I stand It seems to go back in. If you have insurance you could try the procedure where they inject chemicles into the hemorrhoid (forgot the name of it.) I hear it is second best to a hemorrhoidectomy, but you have to continuously visit the doctor over and over again and without insurance, it is $600 a pop.
If it is extremely painful where you cannot work, then I would think it is serious. Mine is very bothersome and extremely uncomfortable, but can work still.
