Best thing to do is probably to go to the doctor. Don't try and give yourself a diagnosis online because it may be wrong and this might make things worse. I've had my fair share of bad doctor experiences, but be firm and demand a proper examination. If all your test come back normal but your pain persists, make the doctors do more. Make them listen! This is the only advise I can give. Best of luck to you all

I have the same issue. Extreme pain after sex, almost comparable to child birth contractions. I am a 32yr old mom of two (8 &4), recently divorced last year after 14yrs with the same man. While dating I did unfortunately contract HPV and have now been with my boyfriend almost a year. Over the last few months these pains began and grew increasingly worse. I've been to doctors, had ultrasounds and NO ANSWERS. Both my GP and my GYN act as if they've never heard of such a thing. They say HPV does not cause pain, however I am noticing a pattern of women on this post who have it...possibly an unknown medical connection? My partner is a little bigger than my previous, but nothing I would think to cause pain and the first few months together didn't. They did also say during my ultrasound that the uterus was tilted back, but that is was fairly typical, another possibly connection I've seen on some posts. But lately I've learned how to somewhat regulate the pain, such as not being so rough and sticking with certain positions, but the cramping is still there and tends to stay on my right side now. When the pain was worse before it would start as a mild pain right after intercourse, then my entire lower abdominal would get warm and then the sharp intense pain would come and last about 10-15min. I could honestly say it was about as painful as child birth and felt like contractions. I do also tend to have spotting now from intercourse, but more so when it's near my menstrual time.
What I've tested for & history:
ALL STD's (I'm clean, besides the HPV)
ULTRASOUND for any cysts, endometriosis, etc (nothing found)
Recent Pap came back abnormal and had to do biopsies, which came back OK - doctor said most likely just due to having a new sexual partner
I've had a tubal ligation for 4yrs (essure procedure) - so I'm not pregnant whatsoever
HAS ANYONE FOUND ANY ANSWERS? Obviously this is an issue for many. We are not alone!

i am grateful for this post! lol, i recently had sex last night with a guy friend of mines (who is a tad bit bigger than i've had). this is also my first time having sex in 7months. I am experiencing a little pain in my mid section of my abdomen, and it feels almost as if i had done some sit-ups or crunches. theres no extreme pain, but slight cramping maybe because of the doggie-style position. i hope nothing is bruised :/

I've had the same issue too last time. However, I found out that it happens only when he goes too deep. The pain means that he's bumping into your cervix and thus creates some bruising on the cervix. When it happened to me, it can usually last for 4 days and yes it feels like period cramps. So maybe its just the bruises and that's all. Next time when you feel him hitting something inside you, tell him not to go so deep.

Please I would also like to know the answer to that cause I experienced the same thing for the first time and its freaking me out.

Sometimes this happens to me when I'm very close to being on my period. My man is above average size..lets say around 8" and yeah..when that time of the month is near I think our ovaries and cervix are full swollen with blood, so we are not as 'deep' as AFTER our period. Maybe arousal has something else to do with it...but I've had this happen after sex in a bathtub (too hot, ugh) and last night with my head off the bed. Give yourself 10 mins and try to walk around, it helps. And another thing about cysts, they do happen on a regular basis for most women, but periods clear them 90% of the time. Shaking loose the little bastards might actually be a good thing, just no ruptures please :-|

I just had sex, rougher sex, but the sort i've had before with the same partner. He went very deep, and as we were just about to stop my lower abdominal started to hurt incredibly. It felt like he had bruised me inside. I have never been in that much pain, even with the worst period cramps, so I rushed to the bathroom to check for bleeding, and ended up fainting due to the pain!!
The pain has almost gone, it just feels like mild cramps at the moment.
Pretty sure it was just due to the rough sex... my body couldn't take the force.
