Hello. I am 18 years old and am sexually active with my fiance. I take a birth control pill called Desogen. I have always had irregular periods, but for the last three months I have skipped my period. I have been tested, and I am not pregnant. I am now a day away from the week of sugar pills. My main concern is the past couple of times we have had sexual intercourse, it has been followed up with extreme pain in my lower abdomen. To the left side of my belly button when you are facing me. It's a stabbing pain that leaves me sore in that area for the day or two after. It will last for about 30 minutes if left alone, before it subsides. It leaves me very weak, pale, and sweaty.(I've had it happen once before, and was admitted to a hospital. I was told it was "probably" an ovarian cyst rupturing, but that was a year ago.) I have trouble breathing as I go through it. My fiance and I are terrified when this happens. I don't know if this adds anything to it, but it is accompanied with painful diarrhea that has been occurring for a week straight now. I'm scared >.< Anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be?

Hi, Im 21 years old with two toddlers and me and my fiance have been together for 8 years now. last night we had sex, and we were both a little tipsy. but afterwards i started having lower abdominal pain that also could not be soothed with different positions or after urinating. i am in my last year of college to become an RN. and i have a few ideas about what could be causing the pain. if accompanied by a fever or discharge, it could be pelvic inflamitory disease, which is not only caused by STD's, but also reaccuring urinary tract infections, which i have personally had a problem with since i gave birth to my children. the other hypothesis i have is cervical dysplasia, i have had HPV since the moment i lost my virginity, (to the wrong person at a very young age), HPV affects about 60% of the population, mostly females, and causes different problems as serious as cervical cancer. cervical dysplasia is cancerous cells on the cervix. and this may have no symptoms unless it goes untreated for a long period of time. then one of the most prominent symptoms is abdominal pain after intercourse. im extremely nervous about finding out if my cervical dysplasia has come back (after being removed 2 years ago). but i also have the Mirana (an IUD). so im not sure which one of these could be causing the pain, but i never want to experience that again, so i plan to go to the doctor this week, and hopefully come up with a definate answer from my ob/gyn.
