It's happened a couple of times now that, after sex with my boyfriend, I am hit with sudden horrible pain in my lower abdomen, around the area of my colon. I have IBS and have always associated it with that, but it's concerning to me. It starts as a burning in my stomach, often preluded by sharp pains towards the end of sex, and I've found the best way to minimize it is to run to the bathroom and try to force myself to "let it out", persay, as soon as possible. But it always turns into severe sharp pains, and if I don't make it soon enough I wind up curled up on the toilet sobbing, sometimes throwing up, pouring sweat, feeling like I'm being stabbed repeatedly. It's the worst pain I've ever felt and I don't entirely know how to avoid it. I feel like it's associated with my IBS but I'm concerned it may be a cyst or something more serious. Any thoughts on this?

I was recently sent to the ER with acute Diverticulitis. After a round of two antibiotics, I’m experiencing the same exact thing. Sex hurts at orgasim and I’m lying on the bed in agony. You aren’t the only one. My pain is in the lower left side, in the colon area too. I’m going to ask the gastro doc when I go. Good luck.

Hi, i have this same issue and i was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Ask your doctor to book you for a colonoscopy. Hope this helps :(
