Hello alllll. To start off, I am 16 years old, almost 17. I am having quite aa problem that has got me overly stressed. And in my opinion, it's NOT normal at all. I started my period at the age of 13. I began being sexually active at almost 16. My period has always been irregular, but I still got it every month, just a random day each month. I never missed skipped a period before until I began being sexually active. At first, two months went by and then it came back. I thought it was normal. Then after having my period back for just one month, I skipped again for three more months. And I got it back. NOW I haven't had it for 6 months. I was sexually active a few times, where he ejaculated inside. I waited about two months and took two tests. Both negative. I waited two more months and took two tests again, both negative. I still haven't gotten my period and it's been 6 MONTHS!! I'm totally confused. If all the tests were negative, I don't know if there is a chance of me being pregnant, or if it's a reproductive disfunction.. I haven't gone to the doctor yet because my mom is still not aware.
I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks!!

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure if you wait that long and tests come back negative, that you're not. Still... it would be smart to get a test done by a doctor - a blood test. I personally have extremely irregular cycles and went an entire year without menstruating (back when I was 14). Have you seen an OBGYN for this issue? I repeat... a blood test is probably your best bet at the moment. I don't think you being sexually active has anything to do with it, possibly your body maturing is why this is happening. How long has the irregularities been happening?

Thank you for the advice!! Ive been irregular about a year now. I just went to the doctor today. I talked to my mom about it and she offered to take me. I found out that I have PCOS ( polycystic ovarian syndrome . ) I was pretty much in total shock. I had done research and I had concluded that that could be the case, and I was right. I am now taking pills for seven days which will help me have my period within the next week and a half. They also prescribed metmorfin which I will take one a day. And in about two weeks if I get my period, they prescribed me to take birth control to regulate my periods. I am hoping and praying that it is nothing serious. I have ready very much and most women don't get diagnosed or even get the symptoms till their 20s. Luckily, I realizes something was very wrong.
