OK, so over the past 10 months, ive had off and on problems with my health.
It all started when i would wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air.
It eventually turned into Gasping for air whenever i started to doze off. It kept me up for 3 days straight because i couldnt get to sleep. Then i started taking tylenol Pm every night to knock me out before it would happen. Then i began to have trouble breathing through the day, and constant dizziness.
over time its been on and off, where i would have these issues, then i wouldnt, then they would come back.
Currently, the problems have come back to me. I constantly feel like theres a ball of phlem, or SOMETHING, in my throat, and no amount of clearing my throat, coughing, etc. will make it go away. Along with that is one nostril becoming stuffed. And then i have trouble breathing, followed by dizziness. And now its back to the point where its keeping me from sleeping.
Has anyone else had these issues before?
Any ideas what it could possibly be?
The doctor at the hospital diagnosed me with High Blood Pressure (which ive know about for about 7 months now... anywhere between 160/70-180/90) and Anxiety. He prescribed me Lisinopril for Anxiety, which doesnt seem to be working at ALL, and hydrOXYzine, for high blood pressure, which i have no idea if its working or not.
Theories i have to why im having these issues are, like the doctor diagnosed, Anxiety and/or High Blood Pressure, but also thought it could be problems like Asthma. Or even a physical problem like some type of abnormal growth in my throat.
I have no idea what this is, and its causing problems for every aspect of my life, I need to find out what it is as soon as possible. any ideas?

Shortness of breath usually points to Asthma. You should get a second opinion about the Anxiety and request a scan of your lungs at your next appointment because the problem might be at the bottom of the respiratory tract or even at the top. When it comes to medications, you really need to give it a bit of patience because some medications take 1-2 days to really kick in.

You need to have a sleep study. It sounds like you have sleep apnea. Also, Lisinopril is for high blood pressure and hydroxyzine is for anxiety. Just thought you should know.
