Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with "mild" endometriosis ages ago and have been on the birth control pill pretty much ever since. The pill made my periods bearable and prevented pregnancy at the same time.
Now, I recently got married and my hubby and I would like to start trying for a baby. I know endometriosis can sometimes stand in the way, but not always, and I'd just like to ask for some tips. What is the best and fastest way to get pregnant with endometriosis? Do I need to worry about endometriosis and infertility and seek out a specialist right away or can we try naturally?

Hey,
Most of the tips I have seen for people such as yourself who are wondering how to get pregnant with endometriosis center on dietary and lifestyle changes. They include:
- Exercising regularly.
- Eat organic foods to avoid more pesticide exposure than necessary, because this has been linked to miscarriage.
- Eat foods that promote estrogen clearance, such as grapefruit, lime, legumes, certain beans, nuts, and seeds. (Some of these are "sour" and others are rich in fiber.)
- Take omega-3 fatty acids to minimize the inflammation associated with endometriosis.
- Use an iodine supplement.
If you are looking to go the natural route, you may also consult a naturopathic doctor.
