I am a 54 year old female. I am having my tonsils removed on January 13th. I have sleep apnea, very large tonsils. I am very nervous about the recovery. My doctor is going to scrape the skin off of my palet and uvla to stiffing them this is suppose to help with the sleep apnea. Any advise for items I should have on hand? I will keep everyone posted as the surgery day approaches.

Don't worry, you'll survive. My whole 5th grade class went in the hospital for April vacation and there were no casualties or fatalities. One kid was lucky, he escaped before they clamped the ether mask on him. They discovered he was getting a cold.
