I got my tonsils taken out last Thursday, it's Sunday now and I woke up at 3am in agony and had to have 2 codeine and 2 paracetemol and then at about 4 managed to get back to sleep. Then I got up at 9:30 and took 2 tramadol and 2 paracetemol because the pain going to my ears was horrible, the pain killers made me a bit dizzy but about an hour later I managed to eat a piece of toast. Toast seems to be the only thing I can eat and have been having it since the morning after the op, only one slice because it takes me like 15 mins to eat but isn't too painful, that could just be the painkillers though. Just coughed up a bit of blood not sure if its from the sinus surgery and septoplasty or from my adenoids and tonsils...hopefully its my tonsils starting to get better!!! Once they're out, they're out so just got to battle through...i'm going to take some ibuprofen soon my tongue is really swollen and I have to wait until 2 before I take more paracetemol and until 4 until I go back to the codeine...oh the joys of painkillers!!!!

im also on day 3 after having my tonsils removed & i feel pretty good. i mean it still kinda hurts to swallow but i dont feel any bad pains in my throat areaaa. my cheeks & neck are still swollen. i really want it to go down . lol but im on hydracocdinee- a painkiler liqud. & its doin a good job with killin the pain so far. i started eating cereal yesterday(day3) && it felt good, i had to wait till it got really soggy but it still tased wonderful. well, in my opinion, the first 3 days were the worsee but im hoping day 5 , 6 7 8 9 etc. will be okayyy . any questions? ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed **
