When working out or walking I get very sleepy, sometimes when I get back to my car it all that I can do to not to fall asleep. I do have hypothiroid problems and have and vein stripping done. My blood pressure is normal to low, usually around 112/55. What can I do to keep my energey up? It is like the faster my heart rate the sleeper I get.

Hi, shell. i suffer from a similar symptom and also have an under active thyroid. my gp has said this happens when the thyroxin/t3/t4 levels fall or become irregular. maybe its worth getting a blood test to check your levels. Also its worth checking foods that counteract thyroxin - mary shomoms web site gives a good guide to these. you may need to eat high energy food staight after training. hope this helps.
