Could I be having this hair loss condition coming along with Topotecan? I had breast cancer and fortunately it was discovered on its early stage and anyway the surgery went ok and I am now on topotecan and it is been almost 2 weeks now since my first topotecan treatment and I have already lost my hair partially. The thing is that I am supposed to have 3 topotecan treatment further on repeated on each 21 day and I am afraid of loosing my hair completely.

It is normal losing hair with topotecan treatment and this hair loss is only temporary which means as soon as you are done with your topotecan treatment so your hair would start growing again as soon as other healthy cells starts to repair. Besides this hair loss you may also experience some other side effects with Topotecan such as flu symptoms, fever, nausea and vomiting as well as constant weakness but all this is only of temporary character such as hair loss.
