Hello, I am 35 years old and I have just started with some serious diets and exercises. I do not have a lot of extra weight, but I know that I have to do something about it, my father had heart issued and was over weighted. Anyway I have lost couple of kilos in just ten days, which is good I suppose, but I have also noticed increased hair loss, which never happened before. Can loosing weight cause hair loss?

You have to know that every sudden change of weight is a stress for a body, no matter the fact that loss of extra weight is a good thing. As for the hair loss, it is possible that it is a reaction of your organism to the fast weight reduction, but is not likely. Perhaps there is some other possibility, or if you are using some diet meds, perhaps it might be a side effect of that drug.
