I am 28 years old and since I have gotten off seasonele I haven't had my period in almost a year. Growing up I have always been real irregular, but my gyno said it was normal because I was an athlete and real active. I haven't been to the doctor in almost a year because I have no insurance or the money to go. Is it normal for me to still be this irregular when I am not very active and is this an indication of me not going to be able to have children or hurt the chances of me having children?

I was just like you and I went to my ob/gyn about a year ago for the same thing and found out that I had a lot of fibriods and pcos. I'm not saying this is your problem but don't let it get out of hand because I'm 34 years old and don't have any children and i hate that I didn't take care of this sooner. Because now it will be very hard for me to have children with pcos and my age isn't on my side anymore. I didn't have insurance at the time but I'm sure that plan parenthood or something like that may be able to help you. I'm Not trying to be rude but are you over weight? Because she said that had a lot to do with my pcos and now I'm on metformin to srink the cyst on my ovaries and provera to ensure that i have a cycle every month. :-)
