Hi ppl!

I'm living in Puerto Rico in a small village near San Juan and recently I've started experiencing all the COVID-19 symptoms but the authorities do not want to test me because I am young and have mild symptoms. They told me to isolate at home.

I was in Miami in March so probably that's where I cached the virus???

What should I do? Is there any medicine to linger symptoms? I've started to cough badly and all the neighbors shouting at me over the that I even shouldn't go out onto the balcony .. WTF?!

What symptoms exactly are you having?

If you have SHORTNESS OF BREATH, CHEST PAIN, or your lips turn BLUE, or you feel terrible, you MUST call an ambulance.

Not everyone can be tested everywhere, but take care of your self and be sure to call for help if you need it.

My neighbor had a "mild cold" at first, diarrhea, vomiting, and doctors thought these are not coronavirus symptoms and told her to stay home, but when she got weaker and another neighbor called an ambulance for her and it came after a couple minutes. It also depends who you talk to. If one won't listen, call again if you are not doing well!

Hope you recover soon, whatever you may have.

Hi. Many people are in the same boat. Probably way more people are infected then official stats show. Most will get better without hospitals, no problem. Call for help if it gets worse. Stay isolated.

Me too. I've been coughing, stuffy nose, feel so stupid that I've been out now... but apparently don't qualify to be tested. Now looking into home testing kits. Anyone know anything about these?

Depends on what kind of test ... Most accurate are PCR tests, but I think you cannot take a sample by yourself or at home. It should be by trained health care professional since they need to take a sample from your deep throat and the nose.

Sero tests are these that would tell you if you have already gone through the COVID. if you experience some of symptoms, better to get in phone contact with your GP, so they'd advise you how to proceed.

I see that in some countries you might do PCR in private clinics for around $100. Serological tests are not that expensive but nor that accurate.
