I am three weeks into post-Holep treatment for BPH and seem to be healing well with urine practically clear now. I am frustrated not to be able to find any information on the physiology of the healing process within the prostate cavity. I have learned about epithelial cells (the cells that form the lining of the urethra) regrowing from 2-3 days post-op but can find nothing regarding the anatomy of healing in the short-term. I want to know what is happening in there now. This helps me with the healing process as I can visualise the mechanics. I understand one cannot generalise as we all have differing physiology. However, an overview of the healing process would be very welcome. Can anyone please direct me to academic literature/articles/papers on this subject. I almost feel they don’t want us to know! Many thanks.
