Every day when I get up to go to school, my heart is beating super hard and fast. My friend has AFIB (Atrial Fibrillation) and his heart rate can get to super ridiculous numbers, so I'm kinda worried that I have it too, which would be kinda unlikely. But unlike my friend, my heart doesn't beat super fast just randomly, it's only in the mornings when I get woken up. One theory of mine was that I have irregular sleeping patterns and when I get woken up, it triggers a fight or flight reaction.

p.s. When my heart beats really fast, it's after I get out of my bed and I'm standing up.

My question would be....what are you thinking about when you wake up?   For many years I have off and on woken up and immediately started thinking about life's worries and then straight into panic attack and rapid heart beat.   When you start to wake up pay attention to your thoughts and how your body reacts to them.

I have noticed this too, as my recent health issues have led me to be ultra-observative of my body, and I realized my heart rate is super fast when I first wake up. I don't actually feel my heart racing, but when i check my pulse its usually 100+. It turns out, everyone has this, its a natural human instinct, it makes sense if you think about it in "caveman terms". Centuries ago, when you wake up in the morning, you aren't in a safe house, but out in the wild, and your body is venerable when you first wake up, who knows whats lurking outside the cave or whatever, and your body is always in the fight or flight mode upon awaking, because you can be prepared for whatever immediate situation you may face when you wake up. Basically, this is a normal human instinct engraved into the autonomic nervous system...not too much to worry about, unless you actually feel your heart pounding, not just noticing the tachycardia when you check your pulse. Otherwise, it may just be panic/anxiety due to the stress of getting up and ready in the morning, or after having a bad dream or whatever else. but try to get up slowly. dont look at your alarm clock when you first get up, notice the time, and jump out of bed, it might stress your heart out, give yourself time in the morning to get out of bed... good luck (:
