I had a LEEP done on Friday morning, I felt a little pain in my pelvis but mostly tired from the anesthesia. Saturday morning I probably did too much, I was cleaning and packing and all of the sudden I started bleeding a lot and had such bad cramps I couldn't move. Sunday I woke up to huge blood clots just following out of me. I called the on call doctor for the practice and she told me to watch it that if I start filling up a pad within an hour to go to the ER. Well I ended up in the ER and go right in. And what a nightmare. The ER doctor did a pelvic exam and left me covered in blood and just said I had active bleeding. I cleaned myself up and had the OBGYN resident come in and he tried to stop the bleeding with pressure and the brown paste stuff that they use. He said the bleeding was too much and he couldn't really stop it. Luckily this nurse helped me clean up a bit. The on call doctor came in and took me back to surgery where she cauterized the open wound. It's now Monday and I am not longer bleeding just having that brown paste c**p come out. I wanted to share my story because I was embarrassed having so many people look at my lady parts and having to constantly explain oh hey I had a LEEP because I have HPV. But after reading other stories I didn't feel so alone. The doctors told me that they is so common in most women because it's not detectable in men. It's literally a crappy situation. So if you need a LEEP done do not feel gross or dirty just be thankful it's not cancer. And learn from me and just rest after you're LEEP, don't clean and end up in the ER for 8 hours.
