Hi I am hoping someone can provide me with some advice. I'm 28, never had children, have the Mirena IUD and stopped getting my period. I had a leep biopsy done Jan 9th in the office. The doctor said everything went to plan and that I might experience some bleeding here and there. All was fine for a week then I started bleeding again. I went back 4 times to get cauterized. 2 times with silver nitrate and 2 with electrocautery. The last electrocautery seemed to work for 4 days and then I started hemorrhaging and went to the ER. They ran a whole bunch of tests and gave me an IV. all my labs came back normal- INR, platelets, Hemocrit of 40%. They couldn't understand this because I was losing so much blood but wasn't exhibiting any signs of distress. I saw the on call surgeon and they placed a suture and moncells, this was feb 18th. That seemed to work for about 4-5 days and then I was back to the hospital again severely bleeding again. I was admitted, put under anesthesia and a reparative surgery was done. The surgeon said that both blood vessels were sutured. another 4-5 days went by and I started bleeding again. Saw a different doctor for a second opinion, this was on March 3rd. she placed surgacell and vaginal packing and told me to come back the next day. Did so and then saw the surgeon for a followup the next Monday. surgeon advised me to see her every 4 days. at the last visit I didn't have bleeding but she placed moncells anyway. that was this past Monday. Its now Thursday, all the moncells came out, Ive started bleeding again (not as bad but still bright red, fresh blood) and I have sharp pains that feel like they are coming from my cervix. I have a followup tomorrow but Im at a loss. The doctors have told me they have done all that they can do and theyre just monitoring me. Im so frustrated and both physically and mentally exhausted form this whole ordeal. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening?? or What I can do to stop the bleeding?
