I recently was told I have high risk HPV after seeing my doctor about a lump in my breast... who would have expected a phone call about her down there when she was expecting to hear more about her breast...
Anyway, went for a Colposcopy where my doctor took 3 samples which she sent away for pathology results. 2 of the 3 samples came back as High Grade Squamous neoplasia/carcinoma insitu. Now they want to do a LEEP cone biopsy.
I handle pain well, and I'm not afraid of a little blood and/or discharge for a few weeks after, but I'm curious to know if anyone out there has had the rare situation of either:
a) needing a hysterectomy as a result of cancerous cells found
b) heavy bleeding which required vaginal packing and/or a blood transfusion
c) Cervical stenosis causing infertility or
d) Incompetent cervix which inhibited the cervix from staying closed during pregnancy.

I was also looking for any advice or feedback from the procedure so I can know more of what to expect.

Thanks!
