Hello, folks. My father has been recently diagnosed SLE. He is on his regular therapy. However, he has been experiencing heavy breathing and high temperature lately. I would like to know something more about this. Should I be worried? I would really appreciate all your replies. This will mean a lot to me. Bye!

Hello. I really cannot say what can be with your father. However, you should report this to his doctor. Since he has breathing problems, I would say he has some infiltrations in his lungs. Perhaps, he suffers from an infection as well. In any case, go to the doctor’s office. There, a proper diagnosis will be set. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!

Hello there chaim2022,
As binky599 has already said it would be best to visit your father’s doctor because Lupus can affect any part of the body and this includes respiratory system as well. Lupus is autoimmune condition in which our own body is fighting against us by attacking healthy cells and tissues.
Since your father is under therapy, I presume, and since he is experiencing additional troubles he probably needs exchange of the medications. Anyhow, take him to the doctor to find out what is going on and I hope that everything is just fine. Keep us posted and good luck.
