Also, on about the 15-16th day I had some solid constipation. The constipation caused pressure to build in my anus. I think this pressure in the anus is what causes the hemmerhoids to form. That and pushing to hard on the toilet. I used a bag enema to relieve the pressure. This worked really well. Constipation occurs when stool is impacted at the bottom of your colon. Its akin to a butt plug forming. This plug needs to be softened and once it is, then stool can flow freely out. If constipation exists, adding on more stool softeners or laxatives might not always work. The enema got to the root of the problem and I would feel relief almost immediately.  You can buy a bag enema for about 5-7 bucks on amazon. This is something worth having.  Google how to use the bag enema. Some people use coffee enemas and I don't know why. This seems strange, but who knows. Water or salt water works well.

Currently, I poop in the squat position. I get on the toilet with my feet, squat down and poop. I breathe deeply when I do this and I pay attention so that I do not strain. No reading, no phone, nothing. I pay attention to what I am doing. Do not push or strain. Breathe and let it come out by itself. Before pooping, throw toilet paper into the toilet. This is to make sure that nothing splashes from the toilet. The TP absorbs the water, and there is no splashing. This is important.

Someone else on this forum recommended a rectal syringe. It's just a bulb that you fill with warm water and then squeeze it into your rectum. It takes up less space than a regular enema bag and puts in just the right amount of water. It was a little harder to find, but I got mine from Walgreen's.
