Could you tell me something about how are HCG levels supposed to progress? The fact is that I already had an failed pregnancy I miscarried it last year so now I was advised to have regular check controls over my HCG levels for as I understood the low HCG levels or HCG levels rising slowly might be the sign of miscarriage. This morning I had the last HCG levels control and the result is 14,200 mIU/ml and I am 13 weeks pregnant but this result terrifies me for my HCG levels result two weeks ago was much higher.

I don't think you should be worrying for it is normal that HCG levels slowly lowers from the 13 week pregnancy, you had its peak at around your 9 up to 12 weeks of pregnancy and you may also expect this HCG levels to decrease even more beginning from the 16 weeks pregnancy-that is how are HCG levels supposed to progress anyway. So I don't think you should be worried that much though regarding the fact you already had one miscarriage then it is ok being precautious. Anyway by the end of the pregnancy the HCG levels are still decreasing so you shouldn't be afraid if your next HCG levels show even lower results.
