Hi I have a 10x14mm cyst. Now on a cocktail of medicine and things are much better. No surgery done. No dizziness. Meds include: inderal (cardio drug), carbinib (glaucome drug - although I have no glaucoma), relmus (muscle relaxant), primperan (stomach drug), omeprazol (gastrointestinal protector). It works!

Hi female guest of age 33. My fatigue was much worse before the medicine and I would have severe nausea and headaches After sex. Do you also experience this? Suggest the meds to your doctors. Mine were prescribed by a neurologist from Brazil. :)

My daughter will be 15 on Dec. 11th and she was diagnosed with Pineal cyst the day after thanksgiving, she sleeps alot and complains of a headache and dizziness everyday, she also complains of pain in her left ear which she has also had her hearing decreased in that same ear. We are seeing an ENT specialist and hopefully we will get in to see a neurologist soon. Her pediatrician acts as if it is nothing to be worried about and that she doesn't see how her symptoms relate to it. To be honest with you I don't think her pediatrician really knows much about these things to begin with!

I'm glad the drugs are working for you, I just don't consider that an option for myself. Drugs have too any side effects, and I'm still so young i don't want to rely on them forever. Plus i hope to have children soon and dont want to take chances. I've never noticed any increased symptoms after sex.

I have a pineal cyst and I have found a great site for help! Go onto Facebook and look for the Pineal Cyst site or look for me and I will add you: Lilla Croysdale - we have found surgeons who will get rid of these cysts successfully and on the site members have had the surgery and others are in the process or organising the surgery - it's brilliant for anyone with a Pineal Cyst

I am 56 and was diagnosed with a pineal cyst in 2008.  It measured 2.5 cm then and I have not had another MRI since (no insurance to cover it).  I have had headaches all my life but now get them on a nightly basis.  The key word is 'nightly'.  I never get them in the daytime.  Would that be consistent with the cyst causing the headaches?  I have seen two neurosurgeons but both assure me that the cyst is NOT responsible.  I have no other symptoms.  I have always been an insomniac also and now find it impossible to sleep without sleeping pills and strong painkillers.

please e-mail me the NY doctor's name. I live in Rochester, NY. I have a 1.1 x 6cm pineal cyst found on MRI of brain. Neurologist told me to wait a year and do another brain MRI to see if it grows. One year is a long time! She said I probably had it since i was born. Not true! I had a brain MRI in 2007 that showed nothing. I am not going back to her. Have pressure/pain and am worried it may burst. My PCP is useless. It was his PA that sent me for a cat scan the first visit ! Followed by the MRI that showed the cyst.

I have a son that is 34 yeas old he has a pineal cyst and he gets headaches and seems to get depressed alot. He has trouble sleeping at night but not days. They say he is bipolar. I do not believe he is. I raised this boy and he never had any up and downs like bipolar people have. He never drank to excess did drugs to excess or anything. He act some times like he does not hear you so maybe ADD but not bipolar. They precribed Resperdone but he tryed it and now refuses to take it. He said it makes him feel like he has no thoughts at all. I really believe and every doctor I have had him too say the cyst is not the cause. I believe it is. So what do you do ?????

They said all the symptoms I was experiencing was not coming from either diagnosis per neurosurgeon. I was flabbergasted!!! I have so many of the symtoms that im practically bedridden. Any advice???
