You certainly can get pregnant having sex when you did.
Day 1 is when your period starts.
You will normally ovulate some time between days 11 and 16 of your cycle. The egg is viable for about 48 hours after ovulation.
But, sperm can survive for about 5 days. I'm assuming you had sex around day 10/11. His sperm would have remained viable when you ovulated.
You're safer having sex just BEFORE your period is due, not after.
