I hope this helps someone. I had a thrombosed hemorrhoid removed last friday. After one week of enduring a painful healing process, I was able to come up with a routine that made "my go" a little easier. Instead of waiting to get relief by jumping into my bathtube, I started using wads of toilet paper that I saturate with warm water to get the same effect while I am doing "my business." Before u begin your BM, turn on the facet and adjust the water to a comfortable temp. Take a roll of toilet paper, tear off a large wad and saturate it with warm water. As the stool is coming out, hold the warm papering wad, not over the hole, but close to the sore area then squeeze it slowly allowing the warm water to run down the sore area. You should repeat these steps with every peice that's passed so keep the water and wads of tissue close at hand. In fact, I keep my water running as I go and if I am at work, I take a water bottle filled with warm water inside the stall with me. Well I hope this helps. Sure did wonders for me.
