I am due next summer, and if that summer will be anywhere near as hot as this summer was, I have to say that I am a bit worried for my baby! So I have come here looking for some advice about how to protect my baby in the sun. Any indication on how long I can be outside with him or her would also be wonderful! Thanks!

A good sun protection cream is essential (and make sure it is not out of date!), as well as the right clothes. You need a sun hat for your baby of course, but I also know there are some fabrics out there that have UV deflecting capabilities. Solarveil is one of them, but there are some others too. Oh, and besides that - use your brain. If you are feeling all hot and bothered, chances are your baby is too. If it looks like they are not feeling well in the sun, go inside.
