Hi, I am getting hyperpigmented spots on my skin. I can’t see the reason for that, so I would like to know what could produce it? Is it related to age, like age spots?

Hyperpigmentation is manifested as darker spots than the normal surrounding tissue. When deposits of melanin are formed in the skin it is manifested as darker spots. Brown pigmentation or hyperpigmentation affects the skin color of people of any race.Age or "liver" spots are a kind of hyperpigmentation, that occurs due to sun damage. These brown patches are found on the hands and face, parts most frequently exposed to the sun. Melasma or chloasma spots are are larger areas of darkened skin that appear as a result of hormonal misbalance. Pregnancy can induce hyperproduction of melanin, so face gets the "mask of pregnancy" .
