i started having my first period when i was 12 and in the 6th grade. i had it in february a few months after my grandpa died. i didn't have my second periond until around august of that year; the doctor thinks it started out with stress from my grandpas passing, and later picked up its course.

when i first started noticing a problem of the 15-18 days between my period, i ended one a couple days before christmas in 2008, and then had another one a couple weeks later starting on the 7th of january and ended on the 14th. i've always had about 6-7 days of my period, and they would always come within 25-30 days.

on my last period, i marked on the calendar when i started, and when i ended, and if i should start within another two weeks. (my mom told me, i should start to keep track a long time ago, and it's really helped me)

i also noticed, ever since my period before christmas, they've been getting out-of-control heavy. on my last period, i had to change my pad every 30 minutes to an hour....my classes at school only give me 4 minutes in between classes, and some teachers don't let you go and sometimes if you tell them it's personal, they accidentally say it too loud and a lot of guys sit in front of the class in most of my classes and they joke around about it too much already. another problem about school, is that on my last period, my mom had to bring me up a pair of pants two days in a row during 5th period, when i forgot my jacket at home:(.

yesterday, i started, and when i got up this morning to use the restroom, i was bleeding so bad, it literally looked and felt like i was peeing blood. i am feeling nasiated and last night at the superbowl party i went to, i had such a bad headache and tryed to use ibuprofen and sat down to rest. when i woke up about 15 minutes later, i felt like i was about to vomit. on my way home in the car, i was ready to tell my dad to pull over and i also had my hand resting on the buckle and my other hand on the car door handle ready to jump out when needed.

i figured it couldn't have been food poisoning from earlier that day, because everyone that ate panda express for lunch that day didn't feel the same way.

my mom is trying to get a doctor appointment to try to get this taken care of and see if birth control pills can help. i am scared and don't know what to do...any help???

I had the same thing almost. Essentially it's all in your hormones. Don't freak out. The heavy bleeding is ur body making too much hormones and the nausea you may have (and migraines) are caused by the loss of blood. If you are anemic, low blood iron, the symptoms could be more dramatic if you go and se an endocrinologist (hormone/growth doctor) they'll most likey put you on hormone pills(birth control) nothing too scary. After a few months they may take you off to see if your body has adjusted and wait a few months and see how it worked out. One thing I noticed while and after taking the pill my cramps got readily worse to where I need to take Motrin 3-4 days before I start to combat the cramps and bodily aches. Best of luck to you!
