Sperm can live inside the vagina for up to 5 days. I also heard that you should abstain from sex for a month after you have your mirena removed. But you should check it with your doctor. You should do whatever your doctor says after it is done. I only know that it doesn't affect your fertility and you can get pregnant quite soon, like within a month.
