i hope everyone is healing well! i was at the doctor three weeks ago and starting last thursday i was able to walk on my foot without the boot! every exciting...however, i am in a ton of pain which is odd because i haven't really had any since the first few days after my surgery. it's mostly under the ball of my foot and i was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it goes away. i was hoping that it's just from not being used to walking on my foot and using those muscles or some bruising coming to the surface? i'd be very disappointed if i went through all this and i'm still in so much pain that it is very difficult to get around.

best wishes

sk8er13,
If I remember right you had the fusion surgery done to help with pain you had done from a first lisfranc repair. If that is correct that too is what I had done. However I did not have any of the pain under the ball of my foot as you are having. I had some discomfort in my ankle area as I started walking, but this went away after a few weeks. I never had the discomfort I had in my foot prior to the fusion surgery so that was a blessing. Hopefully that pain in the ball of your foot will lessen in time. Once that happens I am sure you will notice how much better the foot feels, especially where you use to have arthritic pain before.
