I had a medical abortion at marie stoppes 3 weeks ago. I bleed for a week heavily with alot of clotting, I then stopped the following week but continued cramping and stabbing pains in my sides and ribs...it got severe so went to emergency room 3 weeks after the abortion and was seen by a gynocologist who examined me and took swabs, bloodtests, urine samples and an ultra sound and found a 3cm bit of tissue left behind, this is what could be causing the cramps (or so i thought) i was put on anti biotics and stomach tablets and strong painkillers and had to take these for 7 days, i am on my 7th day today and have had cramps badly alot worse than before...clotting alot and bleeding alot too seems to have settled a bit but starts as soon as i go to the toilet badly....spoke to a nurse at marie stoppes who wanted me to go back for an examination but i said it would be too uncomfortable for me to journey so far for something i can do here in my home town....so going to chance the emergency room again soon......will update but if anyone can give me an answer for this would be gratefully appreciated .
