Hi Rameya,

If your period is due shortly, within a few days, it is unlikely you will get pregnant. The egg is not viable from about 10 days or so before your period is due.

Your symtpoms are not specific to pregnancy and are likely a result of having sex.

Hope it helps.

There is always a chance you're pregnant, but you wouldn't be feeling these symptoms yet. You can take the morning after pill still but is less effective this late. Wait to see if you get your period, if its perfectly normal you probably are not pregnant, if its very light or doesn't come wait a week or so at least to take a test. HPTs are not effective so early. If you don't want to get pregnant you should really be using contraception.

Hello Rameya,

If you used protection you shouldn't be panicking unless there was a contraceptive malfunction, but guessing by the nature of your post, I'm going to assume you didn't. That being said, you're chances of becoming pregnant are increased each time you have unprotected sex. If you aren't ready for that be sure to use some type of birth control to be on the safe side. It'll save you a whole bunch of headaches and worrying in the long run. But turn that frown upside-down because I have some good news for you!

Considering you just had sex two days ago, you are not currently pregnant. Although the fastest time believed it takes the sperm to reach the egg has been tracked at 30minutes, conception isn't as swift (it can take anywhere from 6 to 12 days depending). Also, the sperm can only get to your egg if you've ovulated and the egg has been released (except in the cases of ectopic pregnancy but don't be alarmed that all depends on medical history, your individual body etc. plus it isn't as common). How familiar you are with your cycle can help you to determine if you have ovulated or not, there are tools on the web you may use. Now determining your back pain symptoms is easy, you only had sex two days ago, that's way too early for you to pick up on pregnancy symptoms! Judging by the fact that this is the time you usually get your monthly gift, it can very well be PMS. If your period doesn't show up right on time don't panic, stress can delay your gal pal up to a week, so staying calm will help (in some cases sex can delay your menstrual cycle as well). So for now you just have to be patient. If you receive your period, you can stop holding your breath because most likely you won't be pregnant  (this is when the unfertilized egg is systematically flushed from your body). Although you can get your period and be pregnant the chances are not nearly as high, considering the timing of the instances and all you've told us. Still I would wait two weeks and take a pregnancy test just for peace of mind.

Good Luck. Keep Breathing.
