I have been diagnosed for a good candidate for a pain pump but the problem is waiting period

I have been diagnosed for a good candidate for a pain pump, threw  a pain clinic. They have been very helpful, but the problem is the waiting period for the pump could be 5 months if not longer! As Iam typing this my pain is unbelievably horrible even being on morphine. would anyone have suggestions where or who I could turn too until it's my turn for the pump,
