I am having surgery am I have been taking suboxone. I am now down to 1 mg. How long do I need to wait to take an opiod for it to bring pain relief?

rebb just to confirm what you are asking, do you want to know if you can take a painkiller after surgery since you are on suboxone? I think you might want to talk to them about taking a pain killer that is perhaps a non opoid because it seems that you would want to avoid that as much as possible. Have you spoken to your physician about all the medications that you are taking and that sort of thing? I think full disclosure is a good idea in this case. Keep us posted okay?
