Hello everyone,

I joined this post after reading a lot of the things that you had to say and if you trust your doctor, please go with the surgery before permanent nerve damage becomes irreversible My recovery time after my C5-C6 fusion was difficult, but it only lasted 6 months and being able to feel my arms again was well worth it. I was hurt over 10 years ago and I am really happy that I had C5 and C6 fused 7 or so years ago.

Lately I have had some sever weakness in my left triceps and the left side of my left hand. I have looked online to find out what this is and it appears it is a C7 issue. I had an EMG done a couple of days ago and have not heard the results. Does anyone know what I should be looking for with the results? If I have to go through the surgery route, so be it, but I don't want to sign up for that ride if I do not need to. The C5-C6 thing was a no brainier, but this is not as clear for me.
If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it. I am currently on gabapentin, nabumentone, and amitrpytyline and the numbness is getting worse. If shots are what is prescribed, do you think that will help.
I would appreciate any advise that any of you could give.
Thank you,
Slan
