I have just started taking the pop cerazette, i have only been taking it for 3 days today i took my third pill, i started taking it at 7pm in the evening, bit silly really as this is a bit inconvinient. what i want to know is can i change the time of day i take it to the morning about 7 or 8 in the morning will this have any effect on its protection and if so for how long, if its best not to try and change it thats fine.

the pharmacist told me that when taking pop's it is important to take it within three hours of the normal time in order for it to be effective against pregnancy. the pamflet says if you're more than three hours late, then use a backup form of birth control for 2 days. I would assume you could just start taking the pill at a new time and then wait 2 days to have unprotected sex. talk to your doctor and/or pharmacist, that's what they do.
