Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum..but i am just kind of worried about my period. I haven't had my period since june 2009, it has always been irregular and i am NOT pregnant. I have been to the chinese herb doctor and he said my hormones are being wacky. As i was doing some research about the cause of this, i came across a supplement called vitex. Today is my first day taking it, and I don't know if it is me or if it is really working but i feel a bit of tummy aching and my vagina feels most moist and sticky than before.

Is anyone here on the same boat with me? Anyone have any successful experience to share?

I think i MIGHT have pcos..but i will see how it goes before i go to the doctor for blood text and ultrasound.

ps. I am 20 years old, not trying to conceive but just trying to be healthy

Hi! I heard about Vitex, but I was never taking it. There's also a plant called White Horehound or Common Horehound that my mother is using and forcing me to drink White Horehound tea, apparently it's good against PCOS, so you can read about it if you're into herbal remedies. Your case sounds like PCOS to me too, so maybe you could see a gynecologist too. Take care.

Its hard to distinguish between the difference of hormones imbalance and pcos....right? Or are they the same thing.

Anyone have any successful stories with vitex and pcos?~ :-D please share with me!!!

Well, hormonal imbalance is one of the possible causes of PCOS. You can read here a lot of useful information about PCOS https://www.steadyhealth.com/articles/Polycystic_Ovary_Syndrome__PCOS___How_to_correct_your_hormonal_imbalance__a181.html

I'm glad you scheduled an appointment, that's the best thing you could do at this point. Don't think about it before you know for sure what it is. There are other types of conditions that are perfectly treatable. Once I had some cyst that caused my period to be two months late. My gynecologist made an ultra sound and than prescribed me some pills I was taking for five days, and my period finally came. My period is regular since then. So don't worry. I'd be glad if you let me know what your doctor said. Good luck. :-)
