Hey I am in grade 12 right now, and my marks are not that good, and i heard about Adderall from a friend of mine. So I went to the my family doctor and he was like I dont have ADD. But i think I do have it because i cant focus on my work at all!!!, so i was planning on getting this medicine without a prescription from my friend! and I wanted to know if they are addictive or not? like i really have to get my marks high and stuff but i dont want to get screwed in life later on? is it ok if i take them? and if i do decide to take them then how should i take them? like what schedule should i follow with them? and what should my dose be each day?

If you think you really might have ADD or ADHD, get a second or third opinion but please, DO NOT FAKE PASSING THE TEST. Adderall is a very addictive drug. Sometimes, if you aren't interested in the work that you have to complete, you naturally don't want to focus on it. I've come to learn this in college when noticing the difference between my General Ed courses and my major courses. I'm always much more focused on my major courses because I'm working on something I WANT TO LEARN, unlike most of my general education classes.

However, I have done a lot of Adderall over the past 2 years and more bad had come from it than good.  When taken on a regular basis (few times a week can be considered a regular basis for someone who is NOT ADD/ADHD), you will start to feel horrible side effects during your comedowns (depression, irritability, restlessness, insomnia, loss of appetite, confusion, mood swings, nausea, dizziness, muscle fatigue, etc.) and these side effects will hit you HARD. Also, taking too much Adderall can cause Adrenal Fatigue and after not too long, you won't even feel it anymore. You will just feel the awful side effects.

If you are approved by a Psychiatrist and feel that you must take it, please be careful. Start on a low dosage like 5mg a few times a day instant release (IR) or 10-20 mg a day extended release (XR). Also, eat healthy and regularly (do not skip any meals), never take adderall on an empty stomach, don't try to up your high by adding any other stimulants (not even coffee; this will only increase your tolerance and lower your ability to absorb it and feel it), NEVER re-dose unless your doc tells you to (re-dosing doesn't make you feel it again, it only contributes to a longer comedown) and most importantly - SLEEP. Always get a full night's rest before and after you take Adderall.

Please follow my advice. Adderall is a nasty drug and it will tear you apart if you aren't careful.

Sure, you will be OKAY but it definately will start to negatively affect you mentally, emotionally and phsyically. Yes, you will need to up your dose and a lot sooner than you think. It's not because you can't handle it, it's because your body is building a tolerance to it, just like any other drug. As for your social life, while on Adderall, you will feel extremely talkative and out-going but once you start coming down, you will feel irritable, lethargic and sometimes even depressed. This call pull you two ways: you will probably want to be with others because of your depression but you will also feel like crawling under the covers because of your irratibility and feeling exhausted = A LOT of confusion. Adderall is just a messy drug.

Feeling a bit chunkier than usual and not sure if it is due to the adderall. I am always constipated and I feel extremely bloated when I take 30mg adderall ir (core pharma). Anyone else feel this way? Any remedies?
