Forget a moment about religion or making your first time special. You'll have a lot of special times in your life and it's no big deal if the first time isn't what you thought it would be. What's important is to do it because you will get physical and emotional pleasure from it. Do you know how to have an orgasm? If not, I'd wait until you know how to bring pleasure to yourself so that you're able to tell your partner what feels good; that way, you can both enjoy it. Of course, use protection not only because of pregnancy or AIDS but also those sneaky STDs like Clamydia and HPV. If it's only about losing your virginity or doing it because you only want to please your partner, then what's the point?
